We live and love diversity

Get involved socially, take on responsibility

People of different origins, cultures, religions and world views work at and for GLS. Respectful interaction with all our employees is among the most important principles of the Group.

In addition, GLS takes on social responsibility: we support numerous charity projects and our employees show their commitment as part of volunteer days. GLS also provides support to its own up-and-comers with individual training and education opportunities.

Get involved together

GLS holds regular volunteer days at its German locations. Employees suggest projects, which they then actively support at a volunteer day they also organise. GLS supported the campaigns with around 30,000 euros in the 2016/17 business year.

Delivering help

Free parcel transportation and support for foundations, schools or hospitals: GLS regularly supports selected charitable initiatives.

Award-winning excellence in training

We support our employees. With well-founded, practice-oriented training, we support our junior employees. We make individualised training and further education possible.

GLS supports: sport and culture

GLS sponsors the Deutscher Leichtathletik-Verband (DLV) and the Deutsche Triathlon Union (DTU) – both the Bundesliga and national team. GLS is also a partner of the German and European Film Academy and is responsible for transport relating to the awarding of the German and European Film Prize.

GLS Volunteer day

It is commitment that made the "Volunteer day" possible. Within the framework of the program, GLS sponsors charitable projects selected by employees at all locations in Germany.

Advent atmosphere in senior nursing homes

On the whole, nationwide 15 apprentices decorated Christmas trees with residents in selected institutions and joined in the advent season together. The apprentices visited the old people's homes together with tree decorations and spent a nice advent day in pre-Christmas mood. This brought variety and fun for both sides in the daily routines.

Construction helpers in primary school

At the Schenklengsfeld primary school, employees from headquarters have built an all-year enclosure for rabbits. Six employees supported the project. By taking care of the dwarf rabbits, the pupils learn how animals should be handled responsibly. In addition to the energetic helpers, GLS also covered a part of the building costs.
